Following a conversation initiated by US President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated India’s consistent position on promoting de-escalation and restoring stability in the region.

India has maintained a carefully balanced diplomatic approach during the Iran conflict, avoiding alignment with any single bloc while maintaining strong ties with Iran, Gulf nations, Israel, and the United States. This multi-aligned strategy has enabled India to safeguard its strategic and economic interests.

A key focus of the discussion was the uninterrupted functioning of the Strait of Hormuz, which remains critical for global trade and energy flows. India continues to prioritize both its energy security and the safety of its citizens in the region.
