Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly defended the proposed reforms, calling them a historic step toward inclusive governance. He emphasized that the move aligns with commitments made during the passage of the women’s reservation bill in 2023.

He also urged all political parties to rise above differences and support the amendments unanimously, framing it as a moment of national pride.
