In a brazen act of violence, a lawyer was shot dead on a public street in Mirzapur, highlighting growing safety concerns in Uttar Pradesh. The victim, Rajeev Singh, was attacked during his morning walk by two motorcycle-borne assailants.
Eyewitness footage shows the gunman firing at point-blank range before attempting to flee. However, their escape was briefly disrupted when their motorcycle stalled, creating panic and confusion at the scene.
The delay allowed locals to notice the attackers, though they were forced to stay back due to threats from the armed accused. Police have registered a case and begun efforts to track down the culprits using CCTV evidence.
