Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Noida International Airport, marking a major advancement in India’s aviation and infrastructure landscape. The airport, located in Jewar in Uttar Pradesh, is set to become the second major airport serving the Delhi-NCR region.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that the project represents a significant step toward building a developed India and will help fulfill the aspirations of the country’s youth. He emphasized that improved connectivity would open new opportunities in trade, tourism, and employment.
Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu stated that the airport will not remain limited to aviation services but will be developed as a full-scale aerotropolis, integrating commercial hubs, logistics parks, and urban infrastructure.
Built at an estimated cost of ₹11,200 crore, the first phase includes a 4-kilometre-long runway capable of handling international flights. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel were also present at the event.
